The Economic and Financial Committee which is one of the six main committees of the General Assembly of the United Nations deals with issues relating to economic growth with an inclusive focus on international trade and finance system, financing and operational activities for sustainable development and globalization.
The Economic and Financial Committee of the General Assembly is empowered to make recommendations to member states and determine the political path of the UN about economic issues.
Throughout the sessions, delegates will be expected to eliminate the adverse effects of illicit financial flows on the international finance system in order to promote sustainable economic growth. The participants will also tackle the issues regarding the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development striving to enhance international framework among member states.
This committee is apt for both experienced and inexperienced delegates.
